As a Senior Social Media Specialist on this account at Wunderman Thompson, I managed all social media accounts for BCX. I liaised with the client directly to align their needs and meet business objectives.

01 — Project details

South African information and communications technology company, BCX, sought young graduates to lead the business into 2025. The agency was tasked with creating an audacious recruitment drive for the innovative company.

02 — Creative process

Our strategy aimed to reach the target audience on their preferred channels, such as Facebook and Instagram, using bold messaging to resonate with them. We named the graduate program "Insurgent League" to recruit talent aged 18 to 25 years.

The social media campaign was a success, resulting in hundreds of graduates being shortlisted, with 12 ultimately being recruited and placed into permanent roles across the group.

An unconventional recruitment method that actually worked

We aimed to make the Insurgent League recruitment statement bold and attention-grabbing through motivational slogans and minimal typography. The message was concise and direct.
