BCXLearn

BCX is a South African information and communications technology (ICT) company

As a Senior Social Media Specialist on this account at Wunderman Thompson, I managed all social media accounts for BCX. I liaised with the client directly to align their needs and meet business objectives.

01 — Project details

To promote the launch of #BCXLearn, BCX's digital learning platform, on social media. The platform aimed to revolutionise education in South Africa by providing free access to online educational content for learners from Grade 4 to Grade 12.

02 — Creative process

To effectively reach Grade 4 to Grade 12 learners, the strategy involved targeting their parents on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, as well as on mommy blogs and parents forums. The content was designed to be engaging and fun, using vibrant artwork, slangs, and a playful tone of voice.

Connected with the audience by speaking their language

In order to encourage subscriptions to the BCXLearn platform, we crafted attention-grabbing messaging appealed to our target audience. To cater to the age group we were targeting, we chose vibrant colors that were representative of their interests.

Additionally, we incorporated references to popular songs such as "99 Problems" by Jay-Z and "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé in our messaging to create a memorable and engaging campaign.
